How did you make the decision to have your child participate in the program?

After looking at other programs in the area, we decided that Raintree would be the best for our child. We heard lots of good things about it.

How have you been able to give input into how your child's needs are met?

Monthly meeting with the team.

Who are the ongoing participants on your child's IEP team?

The occupational therapist, physical therapist, and a speech pathologist for the deaf and hard of hearing.

How are you communicated with on a daily or weekly basis?

A daily notebook.

How has the program benefited your child?

It has given him the opportunity to be independent, working at his own speed, and given the tools needed to succeed.

Does your child have a special friend?

Yes.

What advice would you give to other parents in placing their children in inclusive programs?

I would encourage then to go for it. Plan to be involved and active in the child's program.

To what extent do you feel involved in the overall program?

I'm very happy with my involvement!
