Who We are
Head Start has been a part of the Manhattan community since 1965. We are funded to serve 150 children in Riley County. Opportunity Preschool Inc., The grantee agency, is a single purpose, not for profit organization. USD 383 is the delegated agency. As the delegate agency, USD #383 provides the space for the program and is the fiscal agent.

Where We Are
Our program is operated out of four sites in Riley County. The administrative offices and five classrooms are located at the 2600 Kimball Avenue site. We also have classrooms at the Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School in Manhattan and the Ogden Elementary School in Ogden, Kansas. The fourth site is housed in the Riley Elementary School in Riley, Kansas. Our Riley site is not part of this inclusion program, because it is a different school district.
